ESTNarva Opera Days Gala „Turandot 100“
The centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s celebrated opera will be marked at Narva’s Kreenholm Manufacture with the spectacular opera gala „Turandot 100“ Premiered in 1926, Turandot is the final jewel of Italian Romantic opera, the culmination of centuries of operatic development, from Monteverdi through Rossini to Verdi.
Internationally acclaimed tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko will perform alongside Ida Falk Winland, soloist of the Göteborg Opera; Oleksandr Kyreiev, soloist of the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre; and Karis Trass, the brilliant mezzo-soprano of the Estonian National Opera and recipient of the Performer of the Year award. They will be joined by the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jaan Ots. The evening will be hosted by Johan Randvere.
