About ERSO
The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (Eesti Riiklik Sümfooniaorkester, ERSO) is a vivid and versatile orchestra that always strives for excellence. The concerts of Estonia’s oldest and most prestigious regularly operating symphony orchestra take place in the Estonia Concert Hall, and some events are organized in cooperation with Eesti Kontsert. The history of ERSO dates back to 1926 and, like many of its kind in the world, is connected with the birth and development of national broadcasting. Since 2020, the chief conductor and artistic director of the orchestra of more than 100 members is Olari Elts.
