Sandra Klimaitė

Sandra Klimaitė was born in Vilnius, Lithuania and started violin studies in National Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis School of Arts when she was 7. At the age of 16 she started play the viola in Tomas Savickas viola class. Since 2012 Sandra started her Bachelor studies in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny and Ula Ulijona Zebriunaite. In 2019 she finished cum laude Master degree with prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny.

She has participated in masterclasses of Jonas Urba, Jone Kaliunaite, Mikhail Zemtsov, Sergey Ostrovsky, Alexandr Bonduryanski, Michael Gaisler, Peijun Xu, Vincent Royer and Marcin Murawski.

Sandra Klimaitė  is actively participating in chamber music ensembles and orchestra projects. She is a member of Junges Musikpodium Dresden- Venice, Animato Stiftung, Gothenburg Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra, Faroe Island Musical Meetings, Estonian Sinfonietta, Nordic Symphony Orchestra. In the autumn of 2018 Sandra performed as a soloist Cecil Forsyth’s Viola Concerto with Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre’s Symphony Orchestra and since 2016 she is working in the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra viola section.
