Artistic adviser from 2002

The cooperation between Paavo Järvi and ERSO began in 1996 with the performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No 6. In addition to numerous memorable concerts, this cooperation has resulted in eight CDs which have been highly praised by the world’s music journalism, topped by the first Grammy of Estonia.

Paavo Järvi

Grammy award winning Paavo Järvi is Principal Conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra from 2015/16 season. Since 2004 Artistic Director of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

In summer 2016, Paavo Järvi concluded his highly successful tenure as Music Director of the Orchestre de Paris, in the 2010/11 season, he completed a ten-year tenure as Music Director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and in 2013/14 he completed his highly successful period as their Music Director of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Currently he is also Artistic Advisor of the Pärnu Festival and Järvi Academy and of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.
