MARI-LIIS VIND flute

Mari-Liis Vind has served as Co-Principal Flute of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra since 2008. She graduated from Tallinn Music High School in 2000, where she studied with Raivo Peäske, and from the Karlsruhe University of Music in 2007, where her teachers were Prof. Renate Greiss-Armin and Mathias Allin.
From 2004 to 2007, she also studied Baroque flute with Heike Nikodemus in Karlsruhe, and in 2014–2015 continued her studies in early music at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Karl Kaiser. She has furthered her studies with Prof. Barbara Gisler-Haase in Vienna and at various masterclasses. Mari-Liis is a prizewinner of several national competitions.
Alongside her orchestral work, she is active as a chamber musician and is a founding member of Trio Punctum. From 2006 to 2008, she was also a member of the contemporary music ensemble Janus Ensemble Karlsruhe. In addition to performing in various orchestral and chamber music ensembles, she teaches flute at the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet (MUBA).
