Laur Keller is one of the leading young Estonian trumpet players of his generation, combining technical virtuosity with an expressive and distinctive sound.

He began studying the trumpet at the age of seven at Viimsi Music School under Aavo Ots. He continued his studies in the trumpet class of Aavo and Neeme Ots at Tallinn Music High School and later at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.

In 2019, Keller moved to Berlin to continue his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler with Professor William Forman. He completed his bachelor’s degree there with the highest distinction in 2023 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree under Professor Bertold Stecher.

Keller is also a member of the innovative ensembles Nordic Pulse and Baltic Sea Philharmonic, with whom he has performed alongside artists including Brian Eno and Bastille. His concert career has taken him to some of Europe’s most prestigious venues, including the Elbphilharmonie, Tonhalle Zürich, Berliner Philharmonie and Teatro La Fenice.

As an orchestral musician, Keller has collaborated with a number of distinguished ensembles and institutions, including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Estonian National Opera, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Theater Kiel, Vanemuine Theatre, Staatstheater Cottbus and the Estonian Festival Orchestra.

Since 2025, he has been a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, serving as Assistant Principal Trumpet.
