Based in the Netherlands and possessing extensive experience in music theater, conductor Marc Albrecht has chosen Richard Wagner’s Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg as the opening piece. The main work of this “Symphonic Lunch” is Antonín Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, featuring ERSO cellist Indrek Leivategija. Dvořák’s immensely popular work, often called the “king of cello concertos”, is extraordinary for both its symphonic scale and emotional richness.
