In honor of the anniversary year, the “Maestro” series is dedicated to ERSO’s chief conductors throughout history. Maestro Neeme Järvi, who led ERSO during two different periods, celebrates his long-standing collaboration with pianist Kalle Randalu. The concert marks the pianist’s 70th birthday and features the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whom Randalu has called the great love of his life. They will perform the Rondo in D major and the joyful Piano Concerto in F major, a work Randalu has previously recorded with ERSO and Järvi. The program also includes German composer Joachim Raff’s symphony of beautiful nature imagery, In Autumn.
