On 19 August, the new cultural and educational centre Artium is going to be opened in Viimsi and the opening festivities are going to last until 1 October. On 20 August, the long-awaited event is also going to bring ERSO out of its home, the Estonia Concert Hall, to fill the brand new cultural centre with music for a day.

From noon until the evening hours, the audience can listen to various ensembles of ERSO performing chamber music, listen to discussion panels, and participate in master classes at Artium – all to learn about the new centre and its possibilities. The day ends with a classical music concert in the large hall of the centre. A detailed schedule of the event can be found below.

The Cultural and Educational Centre Viimsi Artium is a modern, open, and interdisciplinary cultural centre where performing arts, classical, jazz, pop, and rock music meet with art, film, science, and education. Viimsi Artium combines various cultural spheres and international, national, and community dimensions.

When taking into account its outbuildings and outdoor space, the cultural and educational centre Viimsi Artium, located next to the Haabneeme School, has a total area of 9,000 square metres. The music school, art school, science school, and hobby centre of the local municipality are going to operate in the centre on a daily basis. In addition to the concert hall seating 457 people, its blackbox hall with 190 seats and the chamber hall with 160 seats are going to offer high-level cultural events for the public.
