The concert is part of the celebratory programme of the ERSO 100 festival!
Brilliant performers who have left the orchestra for pedagogical work or other ensembles will make music together with ERSO chamber musicians in the MUBA hall: violinists Arvo Leibur and Maano Männi, clarinetist Toomas Vavilov, and oboist Nils Rõõmussaar. Audience members can enjoy the elegant beauty of three chamber music works.
The Finnish-Swedish composer and clarinetist Bernhard Henrik Crusell is considered the most important Finnish composer before Sibelius, and a playful divertimento from his oeuvre will be performed. Sergei Prokofiev’s Quintet, which the composer arranged based on his Paris-years ballet Trapeze, is full of colorful characters and movements. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet is one of the composer’s most popular chamber works and offers charming moments. The quintet’s beautiful second movement, Larghetto, never fails to melt the hearts of listeners.
