Flute Concerto (premiere)
The AFEKT Festival celebrates the 90th birthdays of living legend Arvo Pärt and Helmut Lachenmann. To mark the occasion, audiences will have a rare opportunity to hear maestro Lachenmann himself as the narrator in his work …zwei Gefühle…. Also featured is a new orchestral and electronic work by Hanna Hartman, commissioned jointly by the Donaueschinger Musiktage and the AFEKT Festival. The soloist in Jüri Reinvere’s flute concerto is Monika Mattiesen, the festival’s artistic director. The concert will be conducted by Susanne Blumenthal, a highly acclaimed interpreter of contemporary music.
