The evening is conducted by <\/span>Giordano Bellincampi<\/b>, a long-time friend of both ERSO and Estonian audiences. In addition to the harp concerto, the program features <\/span>Johannes Brahms\u2019s<\/b> Academic Festival Overture<\/span><\/i>, which includes the delight of a familiar student song, known locally as the folk tune <\/span>Mu isamaa armas<\/span><\/i>. The concert\u2019s romantic atmosphere is brought to a brilliant conclusion by <\/span>Felix Mendelssohn\u2019s<\/b> grand <\/span>Scottish Symphony<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe protagonist of the March concert is cellist <\/span>Indrek Leivategija<\/b>, performing as the soloist in<\/span> Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s<\/b> immensely popular Cello Concerto. The evening is conducted by the Netherlands-based <\/span>Marc Albrecht<\/b>, whose extensive experience in music theatre will bring to life the powerful operatic overtures of Richard Wagner.<\/span>\r\n\r\nIn April, ERSO\u2019s own brilliant soloists, violinist <\/span>Triin Ruubel<\/b> and cellist <\/span>Theodor Sink<\/b>, join forces on stage. Their engaging creative dialogue breathes life into a true monument of music history: <\/span>Johannes Brahms\u2019s<\/b> Double Concerto for Violin and Cello. Conducted by Chief Conductor <\/span>Olari Elts<\/b>, the program also features a new work by London-based Estonian composer <\/span>Mihkel Kerem<\/b> and <\/span>Jean Sibelius\u2019s<\/b> romantic Symphony No. 1.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe fourth concert of the series in late April brings percussionist <\/span>Vambola Krigul<\/b> to the stage to premiere a brand-new composition by his brother, composer <\/span>\u00dclo Krigul<\/b>. Conductor <\/span>Kristiina Poska<\/b> has also programmed another contemporary work, <\/span>Elis Hallik\u2019s<\/b> Transience<\/span><\/i>, which seeks to capture fleeting beauty through music.
