He received a diploma at the Estonian National Competition for Wind and Percussion Players in 1986 and a special prize at the Student Jazz festival in 1987.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"880\">In addition to his work with ERSO, Terje Terasmaa has worked as a freelance musician in the Netherlands and Estonia and has performed with the NYYD Ensemble, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Nordic Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician and soloist, he has appeared at numerous festivals, including Estonian Music Days, NYYD Festival, PaukenfEst, Kuressaare Chamber Music Days, Hiiumaa Chamber Music Days and Viiulim\u00e4ngud in Haapsalu.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"1765\">He performs mainly in a trio with violinist Arvo Leibur and guitarist Heiki M\u00e4tlik. In addition to Estonia, the trio has given concerts in several other European countries. A number of composers have dedicated works to the trio, including Ren\u00e9 Eespere\u2019s <em data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1155\">Skulptuuri hommik<\/em>, Raimo Kangro\u2019s <em data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1188\">Kevadn\u00e4gemused<\/em>, Toivo Tulev\u2019s <em data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1210\">Amid<\/em>, T\u00f5nu Naissoo\u2019s <em data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1258\">Door of the Dream Can Be Open<\/em>, Galina Grigorjeva\u2019s <em data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1297\">Kusagil heliseb<\/em>, Peeter V\u00e4hi\u2019s <em data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1329\">Aleatory Heavy<\/em>, Juuso Voltti\u2019s <em data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1361\">J\u00e4nkha-d\u00e4nkha<\/em> and Robert J\u00fcrjendal\u2019s <em data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1406\">Bells from the Past<\/em>. Together, the trio has recorded three CDs: <em data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1464\">Viva Espa\u00f1a<\/em> (1998), <em data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1501\">Tango King Astor Piazzolla<\/em> (2000), which received the award for Estonia\u2019s best classical CD of the year, and <em data-start=\"1584\" data-end=\"1591\">Drama<\/em> (2001), featuring music by Estonian composers, as well as the DVD <em data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1678\">Grand Cafe Concert<\/em> (2005). Terje Terasmaa released his solo CD of vibraphone music, <em data-start=\"1744\" data-end=\"1755\">H\u00f5behelid<\/em>, in 2009.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"2020\">From 1984 to 1990, Terje Terasmaa was a member of the ensemble In Spe.
