REGINA UDOD <\/strong>double bass
\nOrchestra member from 2013, <\/strong>Principal Double Bass from 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regina Udod is an Estonian double bass player. She\u00a0started her double bass studies at the age of 12 with Marek Mere at the Viimsi Music School and continued at the Georg Ots Tallinn School of Music with Meeme Saarev\u00e4li. She received her Master\u2019s degree cum laude from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2018\u00a0studying with docent Kaupo Olt. In 2016\/2017 Regina studied in Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Gen\u00e8ve (Switzerland) with professor Alberto Bocini.\u00a0She has participated in masterclasses of Franco Petracchi, Alberto Bocini, Hans Sturm, Petru Iuga, Timothy Cobb, Thomas Martin, and Iain Crawford.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nRegina Udod was awarded twice the 2nd prize at the Estonian String Players Competition (2020 and 2015), receiving also Thomastik-Infeld special prize (2015) and a special prize for interpretation of Eduard Tubin\u2019s Double Bass Concerto (2020) and diploma and special prize at the 5th Estonian Competition-Festival for Young String Players (2010). In 2017, a double bass quartet (Alessandra Avico, Carolina Lima de Almeida, Regina Udod and Marta Gil Sanchez) was awarded the Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Chaponni\u00e8re chamber music prize of the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Gen\u00e8ve as the most brilliant and best chamber music group of the year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nRegina Udod has appeared as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO), the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater Symphony Orchestra, the Narva City Orchestra, and the Haapsalu Festival Orchestra.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nRegina Udod has been a member of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra and played with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Kremerata Baltica <\/span><\/span>Chamber Orchestra, United Strings of Europe, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Estonian Festival Orchestra, European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), YXUS Ensemble etc. Since 2013 Regina is associate principal double bass of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
