{"id":17653,"date":"2026-10-05T10:53:38","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T08:53:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/erso.ee\/konkursid\/tselloruhma-abikontsertmeister-3\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T16:22:26","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T14:22:26","slug":"coprincipalcello27","status":"publish","type":"konkursid","link":"https:\/\/erso.ee\/en\/auditions\/coprincipalcello27\/","title":{"rendered":"CO-PRINCIPAL CELLO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Estonian National Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> is the leading symphony orchestra in Estonia, vivid and versatile, adept in performing wide array of traditional symphony music likewise keeping a keen interest in contemporary music.&nbsp; Having a busy schedule of weekly concerts we take pride in performing with renowned conductors and soloists from around the world and cooperating with numerous highly acclaimed record companies.&nbsp;&nbsp; Undertaking 1-2 international tours yearly is customary, plus multiple concerts performed throughout Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ERSO is pleased to announce an audition for <br><strong>CO-PRINCIPAL CELLO (2nd chair)<\/strong><br>(full time, commencing earliest availability, paid leave amounts to 35 holiday days annually, monthly remuneration 2216\u20ac in gross sum or 2960\u20ac if the social tax will be paid by the Employee themselves). <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To apply,<\/strong> please send your application and CV (no official application forms are provided) to audition@erso.ee, with a quoting reference \u201cCello\u201d, <strong>by 3 December 2026 <\/strong>at the latest, along with a link to a video recording, where you perform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00adBeethoven Symphony No. 5: 3rd mvt , from the beginning until bar 79 and bars 141-218 (the marked excerpts from the provided audition repertoire on our website**);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a cello solo from Rossini Ouverture to Guillaume Tell. Excerpt 1: from the beginning until <em>Allegro 5<\/em>)** and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00ada short piece of your own choice, accompaniment permitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/erso.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/2027_Tsello-akm-konkurss.-Videovoor.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/erso.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/2027_Tsello-akm-konkurss.-Videovoor.pdf\">Music for the videoround<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video recording must be filmed with one camera, the player facing the camera so that also both, the player\u2019s hands and the instrument, can completely be seen throughout. Any post-processing of the sound or picture is prohibited. All required music must can be recorded separately or in one take. The recording should be sent to us as a link to an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">unlisted YouTube video<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Invitations to the stage audition will be sent to selected candidates by 10 December the latest, after the initial review of the sent videos and documents by the audition committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The stage audition will be held on 1 February 2027 at 15:00 (3 P.M.) at the Estonia Concert Hall<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the stage audition please prepare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I Round<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00adFranz Joseph Haydn. Cello Concerto No. 2, Hob. VIIb:2, 1st movement with cadenza and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00adorchestral excerpts and cello solos**.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>II Round<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the first two movements of a romantic cello concerto of candidate\u2019s own choice and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00adorchestral excerpts and cello solos**.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Audition and job details: <\/strong><br>The audition will be held in three rounds \u2013 the video round, the stage round and the orchestra round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stage audition will take place during the course of one day. Only live performances are possible. ERSO will not supply participants with visa invitations and will not pay for travelling nor other expenses incurred by candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the basis of the stage round, selected candidates will be asked to play in the orchestral round, participating in turn in ERSO\u2019s concerts and related rehearsal periods.&nbsp; The winner of the audition will be announced after the orchestral round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tutti rehearsals (4hrs daily) are held on working days, concerts are usually on Fridays.
